觀後心得

老實說，一開始光聽片名還有這電影海報（只有麥克風那張），並不會有讓我有想去看這部電影的衝動－－別人家國王的宣戰演說有什麼好聽的呢？！接著看電影簡介還有電影圈網友的推薦，原來這是講英國國王喬治六世當上國王前後克服心理障礙治療口吃痼疾的故事，感覺上應該不是無聊的劇情。

果然，國王的演講並沒有讓我失望！劇情不但不會枯燥乏味對白還很幽默詼諧，中場爆出滿多笑聲的。看一個不容親近又脾氣不好的的口吃國王與他的語言治療師（平民）如何從高高在上到平起平坐最後變成好朋友。柏帝（主角）雖然一開始只是個壓抑抱負心有餘而力不足的公爵，但是他有個一直默默支持他的老婆，還很幸運遇上幫助他鼓勵他的朋友萊諾。

柏帝有生以來第一次獲得肯定以及如雷掌聲的這場對德宣戰演說，當時他的口吃並沒有治好（只能說是治療的初期），但是有萊諾這個讓人安心信任的朋友在旁挺他，以及透過萊諾幫他提點設計過說話技巧的講稿（演講前四十分鐘緊急傳召），讓他不但最後順利演講完，而且演講中因為口吃造成的停頓感覺更添幾分威信。柏帝最後也幽自己一默說：「出點小差錯，大家才知道這是我在說話」（當你可以輕鬆的說出讓自己感到悲傷或害羞的事，你也就已經對這件事釋懷了）。

聽演講並不有趣，但是演講能傳達給人信念與勇氣，柏帝他終於做到了。聽完柏帝的演講，其實我也滿感動的，連我這不相干的人都尚且如此，更何況是身處在當時歷經第一次世界大戰又要經歷第二次世界大戰，人心惶惶的時空環境背景下的英國國民與士兵。這是一場精彩的演講，這也是一部值得一看的好電影。

Thus conscience does make cowards of us all,
And thus the native hue of resolution
Is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought,
And enterprises of great pith and moment
With this regard their currents turn awry
And lose the name of action.

電影最後跑馬燈精簡大意：柏帝後來陸續還有發表很多場的戰爭演講，萊諾一直在旁陪伴協助。他們終其一生都是好朋友，而萊諾也如願獲得騎士勳章（這是電影中的一個梗）。
